| Gymnastics Directions |
Trampolining is easy to find, however gym is a little bit more difficult!
The map below is a little bit crude but hopefully you will be able to follow the directions beneath. Please print for future reference.
From the University, head all the way through Headingly along the main ‘A660’ road (Also called Woodhouse Lane / Headingly Lane / Otley Road)
Pass 'Woodies' pub on the right shortly followed by a green BP petrol station on the left.
About 100 yards after the petrol station there is a pelican crossing / set of traffic lights at a crossroads. The road leading upwards to the left is signposted ‘Church Wood Avenue’.
(***If you are travelling by bus the nearest stop is just after the turning into this road***)
Walk up Church Wood Avenue (this is a long-winded hill passing houses to the left and an open grassy area to the right. It looks as if it is leading nowhere - don't worry, you’re in the right place!!)
At the top of the hill you should find yourself at the entrance to Leeds Metropolitan University's huge sports complex.
Keep walking in the same direction. You should pass a few speed bumps etc.
In the distance off to the right there will be some large leisure centre style buildings with a small car park outside. Head for the entrance to these buildings. There are plenty of sign posts to help you.
Once inside you should find yourself in a large reception area with tables and vending machines etc. Ask a member of staff at the counter to point you towards the gymnastics hall.
If you can't find anything at all just ask someone for the Carnegie Gymnastics Centre or give us a ring !!!!
