Thanks to everyone who turned up to the first Gymnastics Social of the new academic year.
A small rabble of us began at The Courtyard for a rather disapointingly sparse BBQ (which I have to admit did taste pretty damned good). We escaped from the intensity of the patio heaters as soon as possible and hit Revolution for a few swanky yet rather expensive cheekies. Next stop was the contrast of the year - Weatherspoons. Strange green cocktail pitchers flowed fast and our wallets remained happy. We said goodbye to those who had early mornings and a handful of us headed to Bondi. Faced with the biggest Queue in the World, I worked my magic and got us all to the front. Just like that ;-) !!!!!!!!!!
From 11pm onwards we all took massive advantage over the all you can drink cocktail offers! Some cheeky tactics from Rob ensured we spent less time at the bar and more time on the legendary revolving dance floor ! Click the image to the left for some of the nights classy photographs.

Another legendary end of year joint gym and tramp Otley Run.

We started in Woodies at 2pm and most of us ended up at Baja from 11pm onwards.

There was an excellent array of fancy dress outfits and a brilliant turnout.

Thanks to everybody who came along, hope you all had a good time, judging by the photos i'm pretty sure you all did.

Dresses, Tuxes, dinners, drinks and balloons...... yey, it must be the annual Sports Ball again!


Pre-drinks at the Terrace, a three course meal, free wine and a great atmosphere ensured everyone (including Christine) had a really good night out.

Hangovers? Plenty.

What a poor turn out we had at this social!!!

Ok, it was cold and it was raining, but it's ice skating, you're bound to get cold and wet - as Anna-Marie proved in spectacular style

Anyway, those that went seemed to enjoy themselves despite their aching feet and the pesky kids that terrorised the rink.

A day out at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena to watch the second day of the Gymnastics World Cup finals.

Events that took place today were the Women's beam and floor and the Men's Vault, P-bars and High bar.

There's only a couple fo photos as photography was banned (thanks god for camera phones huh!). The panoramic one didn't stich together very well either. Sorry.

A brilliant Christmas meal at Qube in Millenium Square followed by a night out at Quilted Llama and Halo.

Sil visits Leeds, and everyone gets drunk.

During this Tuesday night after-tramp social we visited Barracuda where we took advantage of the "pound-a-pint" offer and then made our way to Space where we sampled the delights of 80p Vodka shots and £1.20 Vodka mixers.

A mad joint gym and tramp social to welcome the new club members etc etc.......

Started at the Hyde Park pub where we were grouped into two's and joined at the leg!

Most gave up their third leg early on but a handful of 'hardcore socialisers' managed to remain three-legged between The Library, Packhorse, Eldon and Old Bar. We also made a quick trip to The Dry Dock and finally ended up in Bar Risa.

June 2004. Exams are over. The skies are blue. The pubs of Leeds are filled with raving gymnastic lunatics in what was the highlight of last years social scene.
